The Resistance in Gaza Begins Phase 2 Part 3 (of a 3 Part Series)

11. The Resistance in Gaza Breaks the Back of the IOF

Israel has suffered immense losses in equipment and manpower over the past 10   months. Here is just one of the many groups who have listed the Israeli losses. This announcement was made on February 9th – 5 months into the conflict.

Israeli Casualties of War

Between 1948 and 2022 roughly, 23,000 Israeli soldiers were killed in combat, 85 000 Israelis were wounded, and nearly 100,000 Israelis were considered disabled.

Between October 7th and August 15th, a period of nine months, the Israeli military casualty list stands at over 100,000 Plus. Of these, roughly 30 % are KIA, which equals to about 30,000 Israelis soldiers killed!! This figure includes 100s of American, British and French soldiers, posing as “mercenaries”. As much as 30,000 – 45,000 mercenaries from various countries, including Kurdistan, have joined the IOF, with salaries ranging from $2,000 to $15,000 per month, plus perks. To cite just ONE EXAMPLE : On Thursday the 14th March, Al-Quds Brigade( the armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad) targeted a number of Zionist military vehicles with anti-tank missiles, killing and injuring the Zionist forces. That same day, the Al Qassam Brigades- the armed wing of Hamas- hit another Merkava tank and 2 Zionist troop carriers. The total tally for the day from just these two groups in the Gaza front is

  • 6 Merkava tanks
  • 2 troop carriers
  • 1 + Zionist vehicles
  • 10 +- killed or injured zionists.

The above are some of the methods employed by the Resistance.

 War Losses

Al Qassam fighters have damaged or destroyed hundreds of vehicles of the IDF since the start of the war in Gaza, according to al-Qassam.

  • Merkava & other tanks   = 1, 200
  • D 9 bulldozers                   = 110
  • Other vehicles                  =   60
  • APCs                                   =  ?

These figures are for 7 months of war, and does not include the casualties the IOF suffered since May 6th.  These figures DO NOT INCLUDE the tally of losses inflicted by the other Resistance groups in Gaza. Take the losses inflicted by the other Resistance groups in Gaza, and the figure rises.  We do not know these numbers. These numbers are likely accurate. Al-Qassam has already released dozens of videos showing successful attacks with Al-Yassin 105 RPGs against IDF vehicles.

Obviously, in order not to shatter confidence and morale of the Israeli population, the true casualty figures are hidden. Israel has already requested an additional 14,500 more soldiers to “make up for the losses. Israel has suffered immense losses in equipment and manpower over the past 10 months. Here is just one of the many groups who have listed the Israeli losses. This announcement was made on February 9th – 5 months into the conflict.

The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas Movement, announced on February 9 that it has damaged or destroyed 1,108 vehicles of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) using locally-made Al-Yassin 105 rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) since the outbreak of the war in the Gaza Strip.

Al-Qassam said that the Al-Yassin 105 was especially developed to defeat the IDF’s most advanced vehicles, like the Merkava 4 main battle tank, the Namer armored personnel carrier and up-armored D9 bulldozers. While each of these vehicles cost several millions of dollars, a single Al-Yassin 105 RPG cost only $500. Since mid-February, the intensity of attacks on IOF has increased. Besides manpower losses, we find that equipment losses are just as high. About 1,200 plus APC’s, tanks, bulldozers, have been destroyed by Hamas alone. Besides shooting down drones, the Resistance also has captured several drones. The figures in the North are also shocking. Obviously, Israel is not revealing the facts. Equipment such as tanks, jeeps, drones and soldiers are being destroyed and killed on a daily basis.  Add the Israeli losses in the north to the above figures. Since October 8th, Hezbollah has been striking military facilities, equipment, bases, spying equipment, tanks, APCs, jeeps, etc. Manpower losses are just as high in the north as in the south. Up to today, Hezbollah has conducted 5,000 strikes on Israel.

In both areas, Israel is hiding its losses; the country is already reeling from one disaster to another, and to avoid being humiliated, bodies are being piled up in morgues and cold rooms. It would be very interesting to see their reaction, and of their supporters in the West once the truth comes out. American and Israeli troops are “supermen”- they don’t die-just get wounded, or suffer from “mental trauma”. Israel is hiding its losses in both manpower and equipment. They have borrowed this idea from America’s Iraq and Afghan wars, wherein only 10% of losses have been recorded as “official”. In Israel the official count of KIA’s show that they only show about 1 % of the real losses in both wounded and KIA. This excludes soldiers from other nations. Military forces from most western nations are on the ground actively genociding Palestinians. Many of these have been killed, wounded and captured, including US generals and senior officers from many countries.  Internal reports reveal that around 60 % of Israel’s’ armored force, comprising of tanks, bulldozers and APCs have been destroyed, in 10 months of fighting.

Qassam Brigades spokesman on 17 May said the Palestinian resistance in Gaza is prepared for a “long war of attrition” against the Israeli army and revealed that 100 “Zionist military vehicles” have been taken out over the past 10 days across Gaza. The 100 – day period, from May 7th till mid-August, the IOF has lost about 5 armored vehicles a day. This includes tanks, APC’s and bulldozers to total roughly 500 tanks, APCs and bulldozers. The majority of these were the Merkava tanks. Israel complained in July that they are running out of tanks, spare parts for tanks, as well as ammo for the tanks!

Just as Putin is de-militarizing NATO, so is the Resistance in Gaza and northern Israel draining out Israel’s military equipment and manpower. The Resistance Fronts can continue this war for years, but Israel is in no position to do so, as it is used to fighting short wars. It is the first time that Israel has fought such a long war.

Since Israel began its next phase of its genocidical operations, they have suffered about 100 casualties a day; of these the KIA’s make up 30% of the casualties. Of the other 70%, about half of them are too wounded physically or mentally to return to the battlefield. This “aftercare” is costing Tel Aviv billions. This figure excludes the battles on the Lebanese-Israeli border.

Hezbollah has been conducting daily strikes on Northern Israel. These average between 2 to 10 strikes a day, on military targets, such as spying equipment, bases, drones, troop gathering, etc. The casualty figures in this area are running between 20-50 IOF soldiers and officers, on a daily basis. Since the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, these figures have increased, in tandem with the increasing number of daily attacks. The IOF has conducted an average of 100 strikes a day on Gaza since May 7th. An average of 100 Palestinians are killed every day, with many more injured; an average of 10 children lose one or more limbs daily. Dozens of Palestinians are being killed   as Israel continues to pound the strip indiscriminately in response to the stiff resistance it faces from local fighters. Besides artillery and tank shelling, Israeli warships also struck the coastal areas of Rafah and other areas.

Israeli Forces Facing Demise in Gaza

Major General in the Israeli Reserve Army Yitzhak Brik on Thursday said that the current war unfolding in Gaza is a “war of attrition” and warned that its prolongation “will lead to the collapse of the army and economy in Israel.”

Brik acknowledged the army’s failure in defeating the Resistance, noting that the Strip “represents one [front] out of six,” and the war against it “does not involve launching thousands of rockets daily (as is the case of other war scenarios with other fronts, such as and Iran).”

 70,000 disabled since October 7

While Israeli media and official hospital records have revealed that the occupation military has been attempting to conceal its losses as part of its censorship policy by not admitting the actual number of losses.

In January, the Israeli occupation army announced that it anticipated receiving up to 80,000 soldiers as a result of injuries sustained during the Gaza war. The war on Gaza has proved very costly in terms of manpower for the occupation entity due to the fierce Palestinian Resistance and operational sophistication. This has left the Israeli army grappling with unforeseen repercussions, particularly regarding severe injuries incurred by its soldiers, including disabilities and amputations, as well as deformities and burns in various parts of their bodies. These injuries result in substantial costs for the Israeli authorities. Now, these are soldiers too wounded to ever return to the battlefield. There are 1000s of other wounded Israeli soldiers who, after a recovery period, can return to the battlefield.

Now, in any conflict, the general ration of dead to wounded is 1:3. That is the dead are generally about 30 % of the wounded. Taking 70,000 as the figure given, it means the KIA numbers around 30,000. Now, this correlates to what the IOF stated in June, that they need an additional 14,500 more recruits urgently and immediately!! This means that mercenaries and fighters from Western countries suffered a KIA toll almost equal to the IOF losses. !

The Resistance broke the back of the Israeli war machine in Gaza. During these 3 months since the start of the Rafah invasion, the Resistance has dealt the Israelis heavy blows, and are bleeding the IOF on a daily basis. These are the worst losses suffered by the IOF since 1948. The Resistance is fully intact, with their capabilities at 90-95%, after 10 months.

The Real War of Attrition

The al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, released on June 21 an interesting video showing its fighters targeting an AH-64 Apache attack helicopter of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) over the Gaza Strip using a Soviet-made SA-18 Igla man-portable anti-aircraft system (MANPADs). The helicopter was targeted on June 20 as it was covering the evacuation of wounded Israeli troops from the Sheborah refugee camp in the southern Gaza area of Rafah, the group said. The Igla infrared-guided missile has a maximum engagement range of 5 kms. It is armed with a warhead weighing 1.17 kg. In the footage, the anti-aircraft missile is seen heading directly at the Apache which dumped flares in an attempt to dodge it. However, it is very likely that the helicopter seen in the footage was damaged. Palestinian armed factions in Gaza shot down an Israeli CH-53 transport helicopter during the October 7th surprise attack, which started the war, and later managed to down dozens of drones of different types over the Strip. Despite the immense firepower used by the IDF, Israeli warplanes are still being targeted by MANPADs.

The IDF’s failure to neutralize the very limited air defense capabilities of Gaza factions could eventually lead to a serious disaster for Israel. With capable MANPADs like the Igla in the hands of Palestinian fighters, Israel could soon lose a helicopter over the Strip.

Unlike   in Vietnam, however, Gaza is a flat strip of land that lacks crossings, mountain passes, or forests for the resistance to move personnel and weapons with ease across swathes of terrain. This has left the Israeli army grappling with unforeseen repercussions, particularly regarding severe injuries incurred by its soldiers, including disabilities and amputations, as well as deformities and burns in various parts of their bodies. These injuries result in substantial costs for the Israeli authorities.

12. Abu Obeida Statements

The spokesperson for Hamas’ armed wing emphasized that over long days, nights, and weeks, “the enemy and its Nazi government practiced the most heinous crimes of extermination,” while boasting of its crimes committed in Gaza as “military achievements” as they use terror and systematic criminality as a strategy in the aggression on Gaza.”

“There is no place in for mercenaries fighting for hire, nor for Gaza for the ‘Namer’ troop carrier … nor forces holed up in houses like thieves … nor for officers fighting behind armored vehicles in a losing battle. All of them will leave, dead or injured. The Netzarim Corridor in the middle of the Gaza Strip will be the axis of death and terror for the enemy and the enemy will emerge from it defeated and defeated,” Abu Obeida said in his speech.

“Our forces and capabilities are in very good condition, and during the war, we were able to recruit thousands of new fighters … and there are thousands more ready to confront the enemy whenever necessary,” the spokesman added.  Rockets continue to fire out of northern Gaza towards cities and towns in southern Israel, indicating that the resistance’s military capabilities are intact.

He emphasized that over long days, nights, and weeks, “the enemy and its Nazi government practiced the most heinous crimes of extermination,” while boasting of its crimes committed in Gaza as “military achievements” as they use terror and systematic criminality as a strategy in the aggression on Gaza.”

Abu Obeida vowed that the Israeli occupation would find the Resistance standing in its face every time it aspired to reach a goal or achievement and prevent it from achieving victory. The people of Gaza and their resistance fought an unequal war and fiercely defended themselves against the brutal Israeli occupation for 10 months thus far. He explained that the Israeli occupation fell into a series of blunders upon deciding to start a ground offensive on Rafah, the Zaytoun neighborhood, and Jabalia, thinking that they had become easy targets. The Israelis believed that if they spent 10 months burning everything to the ground, they would face little Resistance, “but they were surprised to find that they were once again in hell, facing fiercer Resistance than before,” Abu Obeida added. The spokesperson reviewed the achievements of the resistance, which was able “in 10 days (7th to 17th May) to destroy 100 Israeli military vehicles on several fronts in Gaza,” in addition to inflicting human casualties that made the occupation lose dozens of soldiers.

“The enemy is limiting the announcements of its losses,” while the Resistance’s data on the battles reveal that the casualties are “much larger” than what the Israeli occupation is revealing.

“Despite the war of starvation, destruction, and killing, our Resistance, and behind it our people, are coming out in front of the enemy from everywhere; our fighters are confronting the enemy with great momentum […] blowing up buildings, tunnel openings, and minefields,” he said.

“Our fighters face a trembling, floundering force, and return it broken and disappointed,” while “the American weapons harnessed to exterminate our people cause enormous destruction, which is the only achievement of this crisis-stricken enemy.”

In conclusion, he praised the resistance and the Palestinian people who, after 300 days, are still on their feet, fighting fiercely and standing unwaveringly in the face of “Israel”. In conclusion, Abu Obeida praised the resistance and the Palestinian people who, after 224 days, are still on their feet, fighting fiercely and standing unwaveringly in the face of “Israel”. Hamas says that Tel Aviv’s claims of controlling the north and center of the Strip before focusing on the south were always false and that the resistance still retains its strength and leadership.  Their comments that northern Gaza is not under Israeli control, as it has often claimed, are evidenced by resurgent battles in the north of the Strip. In the eighth month of the war, the Israeli army returned to fighting in areas in the northern Gaza Strip, where Israeli soldiers were among the dead and injured after the regime claimed that they had been “cleared.” Sources in the Palestinian resistance report that even Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, a major stronghold for Israeli forces to counteract the ‘Palestinian Viet Cong’ in northern Gaza, was unstable for Israeli soldiers. Palestinian fighters regularly emerged from the rubble and underground to fight a real war of attrition against the thousands of soldiers stationed there.

Resistance sources also say that a range of explosive weapons were used in ambushes and attacks: “Al-Shuath bombs” and “Tandem” to destroy Merkava tanks and other armored vehicles, “Al-Yassin 105” shells, and bombs and booby-traps in houses using rockets and shells that didn’t explode during earlier raids, detonated when soldiers take cover inside. Additionally, there are also ongoing mortar shelling, and sudden face-to-face clashes with enemy soldiers by fighters who emerge from tunnels.

“The enemy is not ready for long and multi-front battles, and this is what made it lose its balance and, at the same time, began to lose the theory on which it was based, which is a policy of deterrence and pre-emptive operations “.

Gaza will remain “a graveyard for invaders,” Abu Obeida added.

A Stalled ‘Victory’

But Netanyahu’s relentless efforts to overwhelm Gaza and declare ‘victory’ over the resistance keep hitting the wall of the Palestinian Viet Cong and their nonstop display of new tactics: deception, ambushes, sabotage, espionage, sacrifice, and, importantly, strategic patience.

Jabalia serves as a quintessential lesson from this new-and-improved resistance. It is a resounding slap to the prime minister and his war cabinet, undermining an Israeli ‘victory’ at every turn. It exposes the futility of the proposed plans – whether Israeli, American, or Arab – to occupy, administer, or impose authority over Gaza. The PIJ’s Haj Moussa says the military battles in Jabalia and Rafah, where occupation forces are also suffering increased losses, show that Israel “has not been able, for about ten months, to reach any of its declared goals in Gaza, neither at the level of uprooting the resistance nor the expulsion of Zionist prisoners.”

Despite unconditional US and western security band military support, Tel Aviv has been unable to definitively impose its control over Jabalia or other areas. The PIJ official emphasizes that the Al-Quds Brigades, his movement’s military wing, is still present throughout the Gaza Strip, and there is no fear of resistance weakening. How is the Palestinian resistance still fighting fiercely in Shujaiya, Jabalia, Al-Zaytoun, Deir al-Balah, all the way to Rafah in Gaza’s south? How are Israeli tanks and armored vehicles being depleted so quickly, and the occupation forces dying in larger numbers than before?

Hamas Elects a New Leader

On August 6th, the Palestinian Shura Council elected Yahya Sinwar as its new leader, replacing the deceased Ismail Haniyeh.  This is the man that the Israelis fear more than Ismail Haniyeh. Let us see what the future holds.

13. The Ceasefire Hoax

Israel’s presence on the vital Philadelphi corridor and the Rafah border crossing is one of the many obstacles in the way of a cease fire deal and prisoner exchange deal between Tel Aviv and Hamas.  Israel refuses Hamas demands for written ceasefire guarantees.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement on Sunday evening that he will not accept any deal that does not allow Israel to resume the war when it sees fit and further said he could not allow the continued flow of smuggled weapons from Egypt into the Gaza Strip. In its response to an updated version of the current proposal being discussed by Israeli, US, Egyptian, and Qatari mediators – Hamas insisted, among other things, on an Israeli withdrawal from the Rafah border crossing and Philadelphi corridor.  But, Israel refuses to leave this place. This means that now Gaza is completely encircled and cut-off from the outside world.

As we have seen over the past few months, whenever a ceasefire deal is about to be signed, Netanyahu sabotages it. Even when a peace deal is signed, Israel finds ways of breaking it. This is the history of the Zionists as per their boss, the Rothschilds. In short, Israel will not accept any peace deal that boxes Israel in. This deal will not allow Israel to expand its borders, thus kissing their Greater Israel project.

A peace deal will have to allow the Palestinians to remain on its land. It will also mean that the thieves/settlers have to go back to their own countries. But, peace means that Israel has lost. This, David de Rothschild will not allow.

This is the entity which the Rothschild family is its flag bearers and the family is considered by all Jews to be the kings of the Jews. Their two main bases in the world are Britain and France- two branches of the family. Each has its specific mandates, spheres of business interests and geographical zones of interest. But, they act as a unified force, in all matters- of which the Zionist project is of the utmost importance. They are prepared to burn down the world to protect Israel.

So, expect the war to go on – for how long, no one knows.

A Systemically Sociopathic Society

The narrative controllers may still be able to obliterate key facts from western public opinion, for instance, on ethnic cleansing. Christian Arabs have been systematically ethnic-cleansed in Palestine. In the early 1950s, Bethlehem was 86 percent Christian, a figure that has since plummeted to a dismal 12 percent today. The biblical psychopaths built a wall around Bethlehem, annexed land for the benefit of armed Jewish settlers, and ethnically cleansed Christians.

Thus, it’s no wonder that the Global Majority instinctively sees the Israel–US combo – bearing different forms of exploitation/plunder all the way to genocide – as the epitome of colonialism, now “softened” by a narrative control op into a meaningless “rules-based international order.” It’s also no wonder that the Gaza genocide has sparked a renewed Global Majority-wide, anti-colonial wave. Still, that’s not enough. No one is actually stopping the genocide. That would only be practically possible by inflicting a devastating military defeat on Israel – with the victors dictating the terms of capitulation. That’s not feasible – at least not yet – and contributes to the biblical psychopaths believing they can get away with anything.

That’s the crossroads scenario we’re in right now. Looking ahead, it’s either an Open Hot War or an array of Hybrid Wars between major powers and their vassals – essentially, the Third World War.

14. The Other Fronts

Hezbollah – The Axis of Resistance – the Iran-led bloc has come to the aid of Gaza. The idea was to relive the Israeli pressure on Gaza by diverting Israeli forces away from Gaza to face other threats. The first was the West Bank, followed by Hezbollah in Lebanon, which was then joined by the Iraqi Resistance, and then, Yemen stepped into the fray. We will discuss each of these 5 fronts, and their implications, for Israel, the US and the region.

Israeli media: Hezbollah launched a coordinated attack – on a daily basis- involving dozens of missiles, rockets and drones targeting numerous IOF targets in the northern region. The sirens in the north have not ceased and continue to sound nonstop.

Yemen – The Houthis have not stopped their attacks on western shipping. In addition, US warships are being struck as well. The Houthis have hit about 7 warships including the US aircraft carrier the Eisenhower. In fact, the Western armies have conducted 7 airstrikes and fired around 800 missiles which cost NATO some $3 billion, besides other costs. One of the most daring attacks was the drone attack on Tel Aviv, which shocked the arrogant t6hieves in Israel, and its western backers.

Iraq – The IRI resumed attacks on American bases in Iraq. In addition, we find that the IRI continues to target Eilat and other strategic targets in southern Israel.

15. The Arab/Muslim Street

The impact of the conflict, and the images and videos shared on social media has made the entire Muslim world- and in particular-the Arab street- boil in rage and frustration. The temperature is off the charts. This is the thing that Arab leaders fear the most. Failure to placate the “street” could mean that the street turns on their leaders. There are literally, hundreds of thousands itching to enter Gaza to aid and help their fellow Muslim and Arab brothers. Their governments are restraining them-at times, forcibly. For how long this will go on remains to be seen.

The equation on the ground in both the Arab and Muslim world has changed from what it was 50 yearsago. Today, the majority of Arabs are better educated, have a better grasp of technologies and its uses, and have become more religious. The infatuation that the region had of the West is nearly dead; especially when the hypocrisy, shamelessness, immorality, blatant lies and disrespect that the West has shown to the rest of the world- both the white and non-white populations. This hidden racism and “superiority of Western leaders were exposed over the Covid issue, the war in Ukraine, the ramming “down-the-throats” of Western LGBTQ and woke values on the Developing South was definitely not appreciated. The combination of all these, coupled with economic and financial sanctions, has resulted in the mass withdrawal by the Global South from the ties that bind it to its so-called Western masters.

The straw that “broke the camel’s back” is the genocide case in The Hague. The world has witnessed the genocide committed by Israel on the population of Gaza. But, here we see that 4 countries have opposed this and are siding with Israel – the US, Britain, France and Germany – the very same countries that have committed the greatest acts of genocide in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Our next article is called “Angry & Humiliated, Iran responds to Israeli provocations.”
