In our analysis of the various terrorist incidents over the past two decades, one must ask the following two questions: Who benefits? and, who has the capability? As far as who benefits is concerned, both Israel and Washington are the obvious suspects. Whenever international pressure and outrage mounts on Israel for its actions against the Palestinians, it is forced to do something drastic, and blame it on the Arabs/Muslims, thus diverting world attention away from it, and creating something of hatred for the so-called “perpetrators “involved. Israel has had past practice at this sort of thing before, and for elucidation, we will list 7 cases, to confirm the modus operandi of Israel’s intelligence services. The second question, which has the capability? , is quite clearly answered by the examples given below.

CASE NO 1: The Bombing of Libya – April 1986

Israel had invaded Lebanon in July 1982. Once its forces had reached Beirut, it began to suffer losses from the guerrilla attacks mounted by the PLO. At this time, the PLO was receiving large volumes of arms supplies from Libya. It was an “oxygen lifeline “for the embattled PLO in Lebanon. Israel has decided to put an end to this arms supply route.

Abu Nidal was a Palestinian, who had broken away from the PLO to form his own group in the late 1970s. He had come under Israel’s control. In 1985, Abu Nidal was based in Libya. On December 25, 1985, Abu Nidal’s team had carried out two terror attacks at the El Al counters at the Rome and Vienna airports. It was designed to embarrass Qaddhafi.

Two weeks later, US President Reagan signs an executive order that ends all economic activity between Libya and the US, and also freezes all Libyan assets in the US. In February, the Mossad activates “Operation Trojan”.

A Trojan was a special communication device that could be planted by naval commandos deep inside enemy territory. The device would act as a relay station for misleading transmissions made by the disinformation unit of the Mossad, called LAP, and intended to be received by American and British listening stations. Originating from an IDF navy ship out at sea, the prerecorded transmissions could be picked up by only the Trojan. The device would then rebroadcast the transmission on another frequency, one used for official business in the enemy country, at which point the transmission would be picked up by American ears.

The listeners would have no doubt that they had intercepted a genuine communication, hence the name Trojan. Further, the contents of the message, once deciphered, would confirm information from other intelligence sources, namely the Mossad.

On the night of February 17, 1986, two Mossad special teams entered Libya covertly by sea, and planted the Trojan device in an apartment in Tripoli. The Mossad had rented this apartment for six months; the rent was paid in advance. The Mossad teams were in and out before daybreak.

By the end of March, the Americans were already intercepting messages broadcast by the Trojan, which was only activated during heavy communication traffic hours. Using the Trojan, the Mossad tried to make it appear that a long series of terrorist orders were being transmitted to various Libyan embassies around the world. As the Mossad had hoped, the transmissions were deciphered by the Americans and construed as proof that the Libyans were active sponsors of terrorism. What’s more, the Americans pointed out, the Mossad reports confirmed it.

Then, on 5 April 1986, at a disco in West Berlin, frequented by American military people, a bomb went off, killing two soldiers and injuring many more. This could only have been planted by a member of Abu Nidal’s outfit. Obviously, the Americans were too stupid to realize that they had fallen into a Mossad trap, and acted in the usual predictable way, by opting for a military response.

The French and Spanish, though, were not buying into the new stream of information. To them, it seemed suspicious that suddenly, out of the blue, the Libyans, who had been extremely careful in the past, would start advertising their future actions. They also found it suspicious that in several instances Mossad reports were worded similarly to coded Libyan communications. They further argued that the tragedy in Berlin could have been avoided if intelligence agencies listening in could have prevented it. Since the attack wasn’t prevented, they reasoned that it must not be the Libyans who did it, and the “new communications” must be bogus.

The French and Spanish were right. The information was bogus. The Mossad was counting on the American promise to retaliate with vengeance against any country that could be proven to support terrorism. The Trojan gave the Americans the proof they needed. Ultimately, the Americans fell for the Mossad ploy, dragging the British and the Germans somewhat reluctantly in with them.

On 14 April, 1986, 160 American planes dropped over 60 tons of bombs on Libya. The first target was Qaddhafi’s house, where his child was killed and his wife suffered back injuries. The French Embassy in Tripoli was also hit, as a “payback” to the French for their refusal to join in the bombing or to allow overflights to the American planes on their way to bomb Libya!.

Operation Trojan was one of Mossad’s great successes. The US airstrike on Libya had several important consequences. First, it derailed a deal for the release of American hostages in Lebanon, thus preserving Hizbollah as the number one enemy in the eyes of the West. Second, it sent a message to the Arab world, telling them exactly where the US stood regarding the Arab-Israeli conflict. Thirdly, it boosted Mossad’s image of itself, since it was they who, by ingenious sleight of hand, had prodded the US to do what was right, from their point of view. Fourthly, it reduced the arms supply to Lebanon, as there were two ships packed with arms destined for the PLO in Lebanon. And lastly, was the end of Libyan involvement in Fiat.

The Fiat Deal

In 1976, Fiat, the Italian car company owned by Gianni Agnelli, was in desperate need for a loan to build a second plant in Russia, to build cars. Unfortunately, both Moscow and the Italian government were also short of cash. Italy was broke, having just borrowed a huge sum from the IMF, Chase and Citibank.

In steps Muammar Qaddhafi. Libya purchased a 10% stake in Fiat for $415 million, in December 1976. The day before, Qaddhafi was in Moscow, meeting with Agnelli and David Rockefeller! The Libyans also signed a huge arms-for-cash deal with Moscow.

In 1985, Agnelli was having problems receiving military contracts from the Pentagon because of the Libyan stake in his company. Agnelli approached Qaddhafi to sell his stake in Fiat, Qaddafi refused. Pleas from other power players were also turned down. Then Agnelli approached David Rockefeller, as well as Evelyn Rothschild. Things started to move rapidly after this.

In December 1985, Abu Nidal hit the two airports in Europe, and Reagan freezes Libyan assets. Then the Mossad used the Trojan to entice the US to bomb Libya. In September, barely 5 months after the bombing, Libya sold its stake in Fiat back to Agnelli for $3 billion!

CASE NO 2 – WTC Bombing –February 1993

In December 1992, an Israeli soldier, Nissim Toledano, was kidnapped and killed. In retaliation, Israel picked up 1600 Hamas members and deported 415 of them across the Israel-Lebanese border, a no-man’s land. It was winter, and the weather was freezing, with rain and snow. No shelter or food was provided for these 415 Hamas members. International outrage peaked at Israel, after media reports were broadcast worldwide. Israel had bit off more than it could chew.

It was time to activate a “deflection scenario”. The Mossad was called in, and an agent by the name of Josie Hadas was sent to New York. Hadas rents a house and places an ad for electricians to renovate the house. Among the many that responded, Hadas accepts only Arabs. He gives them money to buy the materials they will require to complete the work, as well as funds to rent a van to transport the goods. A time limit was placed on the job.

That evening, Hadas (knowing where the Arabs were staying) steals the van, packs it full of explosives, and then takes the van and parks it in the basement garage of the World Trade Center building. Early the next morning, the bomb in the van goes off. This was now in February 1993.

In the meantime, the Arab workmen woke up to find their van gone! They hurried to the Ryder rental firm to report this, only to be told that a police case number was required for insurance purposes. So, they go and report this to the police, obtain a case number, and return to the car rental firm. On leaving the car rental firm, the FBI was waiting for them, and they were duly arrested and charged with the bomb attack on the World Trade Center.

These Arabs protested their innocence, thus necessitating a FBI plan, using an Egyptian intelligence officer to entice and entrap a group of other Arabs into “talking and planning” on blowing up other structures in New York City! But, the overall effect was accomplished. Attention was quickly deflected from the 415 Hamas members on the Israeli-Lebanese border, to the New York. It also managed to turn public opinion from point of Arab sympathy, to one of Arab hatred.

The Mossad was successful in “deflecting” negative attention from itself.

CASE NO 3 : The US Embassy Bombings Nairobi/Tanzania – August 1998

In 1996, the Americans and British combined and toppled Mobuto from power, in Zaire, later known as Congo placing their man Laurent Kabila into power. The wealth of the Congo lay in the east of the country, and was split over three provinces. These provinces were divided amongst the various companies belonging to the two families.

On July 31, (see article) Kabila, under American pressure, cancelled a concession held by Banro/Sominki (belonging to the Anglo-American Corp). The reason for the cancellation and switch to a pro-American stance had to do with a little-known mineral called columbite-tantalite or “coltan” – which is a primary component of computer microchips, cell phones, etc. Coltan was found mainly in the Kivu province. The Congo was extremely rich in mineral wealth, such as diamonds, gold, copper, platinum, cobalt and gold, among other precious and strategic metals.

The Rockefeller Empire has always been deep in the field of high-tech industries. The most highly technological countries in the world today are the US, Japan, Korea, and Germany, all 4 of whom are under Rockefeller influence and control. In addition, the Pentagon desperately needed a controlled source for this metal, along with cobalt. Thus, “coltan” was deemed to be a “national security interest” to the Rockefeller Empire. About 85% of the global reserves of coltan are in eastern Congo. It is potentially as important to the Pentagon, Silicon Valley, and Wall Street, as the oil-rich Persian Gulf.

Two days later, Nicky Oppenheimer, scion of the all-powerful family that controls the Anglo/De Beers complex, sent 3 high-powered South African government officials to Washington, to plead with Clinton. Clinton refused to mediate between the Rockefellers and the Rothschilds (the Oppenheimers are the South African representatives of the Rothschilds) in this particular matter, and after 3 fruitless days, they flew back to South Africa.

Nicky Oppenheimer was informed while the trio was returning. Nicky Oppenheimer informed Evellyn Rothschild in London, who, in turn activated the Mossad. The Israeli intelligence service has a heavy presence and network in east Africa, with Nairobi as its base.

In response to this American “theft” of their Congo holdings, on Friday 7 August, the Mossad bombed two American Embassies, one in Nairobi and the second in Dar es Salaam. The Congo war then took on the shape of a bitter proxy war, drawing in various countries such as Angola, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Libya (all of whom were on the American side). The British had Rwanda and Uganda on its side, along with a large private mercenary force, and as well as British, French and Israeli intelligence services. To date, this war has not stopped!

Once again, the question to be asked here is: Who benefits? and who has the on-the-ground capability to execute an operation of this size? Although no hard proof is available, all the fingers point to London and Israel, as being the brains behind this operation. It would not be unusual for either British Intelligence or Mossad, or any one of the private intelligence groups under Rothschild control to have carried out this operation, and use a number of Muslims as “patsies”. It is an old trick for London and Israel. 

CASE NO 4. THE USS COLE & Mohammed al Durra – Oct 2004

In September 2000, Ariel Sharon entered the Al Aqsa complex with about 200 security officers, causing massive outrage amongst the Muslim world. Tremendous anger by the Palestinians unleashed the Second Intifada.
Three days after the start of this Intifada in Palestine, Jamal al Durra took his 12-year old son, Muhammed, to shop for a second-hand car. On their return home, they were caught in a cross-fire at the Netzarim Junction, and young Muhammed was killed. Unfortunately for Israel, a French TV crew had filmed the entire incident, and this was immediately broadcast throughout the world, the scene being repeatedly shown.

It was an immense public relations disaster for Israel. First came the media condemnation, followed by international outrage, followed by international pressure on Israel. Once again, Israel had bit off more than it could chew. Israel again activated the “deflection scenario”.

On October 12, an American warship, the USS Cole, coming in for refueling at Aden, Yemen, was bombed in a suicide attack by an Arab on a small boat. The blast knocked a huge hole in the hull of the American warship. Normally, a blast-effect will go in all directions. But this blast-effect was different. It was “directed” towards the warship, proving that the bomb was a “shaped-device”. Now, these shaped-device bombs are available only to military personnel, and even then, access to it is tightly restricted. According to western intelligence operatives, the shaped-device gave the game away, by confirming that the operation was carried out by highly-seasoned and professional operatives, and not by amateurs such as Bin Laden et al.

Once again, world attention shifted away from the Intifada to the USS Cole. Israel managed to gain some breathing room. Do remember, America is the “court of world opinion”, so it is very important for Israel to show itself in a good light, and the Arabs in a bad light. If Israel can swing American “public opinion” behind its policies in the region, it knows it can get away with many outrageous actions. Thus, it was crucial , to consistently, show the Arabs in a bad light, and if this could be accomplished by destroying and harming American property, lives, and interests, then, so much the better. Once again, the suspect in this case was Osama bin Laden. Nearly 8 months of investigations in Yemen by the FBI has failed to establish proof of bin Laden’s involvement in the attack on the USS Cole. Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh, in an interview with Newsweek magazine (Dec 2000), said repeatedly, that Israel might be responsible for the bombing!

The Modus Operandi

It is relatively easy for foreign intelligence agencies to penetrate Arab groups in order to find out their plans, and to foil them, if need be. Britain has the most experience in dealing with the Middle East, and Israel has the most patience in planting agents with the various groups, and waiting many years before it activates such agents. In quite a few cases, these Arab “agents” are not even aware that their ultimate controller is the Mossad, or British Intelligence, or the CIA. Most often, these Arab “agents” are controlled by what is known as “cut-outs”, easily dispensable, after a “hit”.

So, it would be relatively easy for the “cut-out” to have several men ready to die for the “cause”, as long as it harms Israel and America, or any other government.. Likewise, for any attacks on western countries, it would not have been hard to recruit Muslims from Bosnia, or any other Muslims from Europe or America. They would not look out of place in the various terror attacks. It would add to the safety of their mission, especially if they are clean shaven, and dressed in Western clothes. Likewise, their controllers would be of similar origin and dress. And these controllers would, in turn, by controlled by a foreign intelligence agency, without the controller even knowing about it.

A very powerful group of people with links inside the US, or Britain, or Israel, could have the capability and means to accomplish an operation as sophisticated as these terror bombings, including the 9-11 attacks on Washington and New York. Because the mind that runs these kind of special-warfare operations is a special kind of military mind. So, we are looking for top-grade military-strategic specialists who know how to set up an operation as skillful and polished as this attack on 9-11. No amateur is going to do this; no rough-and-tumble terrorist can do that. They can do certain things; they are part of the auxiliaries of the operation, at the lower-levels. But, they are not the people who can set up the kind of operation we are presented with.

And this command still exists. Nobody’s exposed it. It’s not been caught. It’s always ready to strike again, and again. The only thing that will prevent the enemy from attacking again is by taking some kind of preventive action, by exposing the problem; a cover-up problem, by largely weakening it, if not destroying it.

So, reviewing Israel’s past actions, it becomes clear that the terror attacks around the globe are not a simple cut-and-dried affair. There is more to it than meets the eye. The old adage, “Truth is stranger than fiction” applies perfectly here.

With the attack on the USS Cole, Israel has managed to deflect attention away from itself, once again, and managed to focus attention elsewhere. It was true that the Intifada had generated a tremendous amount of sympathy for the Arab cause in the West, and pressure was mounting on Israel to stop its brutal actions on the Palestinians.

In the next part of this article, we will discuss several more cases of terror bombings. All of these had a background in economics and geopolitics. This time, most of the “terror-attacks” was directed by the CIA.
